The 17-year-old Baby hitmaker is said to have been desperate to cut ties with his mum Pattie Mallette following a series of arguments over his lifestyle.
An insider told America’s National Enquirer, “(Bieber) wants to enjoy the perks of being one of the hottest stars on the planet, and Pattie’s trying to keep him grounded.
“Justin’s been complaining non-stop about how controlling his mom is. He loves her, but he hates being treated like a child. He’s gotten a taste of freedom, and now he wants more.”
The report also alleged that Mallette disapproved of the star’s friendships with Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift.
But a spokesperson for Bieber has dismissed the speculation, telling GossipCop.com, “All (the report) is unfounded and false.”
The Baby hitmaker has garnered a massive following since he found fame and is mobbed by devotees wherever he goes.
And Bieber is stunned by the gestures from some of his kind-hearted fans.
He tells ETOnline.com, “This girl came all the way from Spain to come to my concert and she saved these beautiful flowers from Spain (for me) – she sent them up to my room! If you’re out there watching, thank you so much for the flowers, they’re awesome.”
The Baby hitmaker has garnered a massive following around the world since he shot to stardom last year (09) and is regularly mobbed by girls when he appears in public.
But Bieber’s fame hasn’t reached all parts of Britain – a group of teenagers recently approached the singer because they thought he was 17-year-old actor Thomas Law from British TV show Eastenders.
He says, “Some girls asked for my autograph and then said, ‘We love you in EastEnders.’
“I’d never heard of the show. So I Googled the actor, and, I guess, there are worse people to be compared with.”
The 16-year-old singer was named UR Fave New Artist by fans, he also received the UR Fave Video trophy for his hit Baby and the International Video Of The Year By A Canadian award for his song One Time.
Fans queued for hours to get into the event, and Bieber made sure to thank them for their support as he accepted his honours at Canadian music channel MuchMusic’s annual prizegiving.
He told the crowd, “Coming from a small town in Canada – repping (representing) Stratford, Ontario – I just wanna say, this means the world to me. It’s my first award, and to have it in Canada is just amazing. I want to say thank you to all my fans who got me in this position.”
Pop-rock band Hedley tied Bieber’s haul with their own trio of trophies, winning Video Of The Year and Post Production Of The Year prizes for their single Perfect, as well as Pop Video Of The Year for Cha-ching.
Rapper Drake won gold in two of the seven categories he was nominated in, taking home the Cinematography Of The Year and Hip-Hop Video Of The Year honours for his song Successful with Trey Songz.
The Jonas Brothers, who hosted the ceremony last year (09), received International Video Of The Year By A Group for Paranoid, while their fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus won International Video Of The Year By An Artist for Party in the U.S.A.
The Hannah Montana star dedicated her win to her dad, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, by wishing him a happy Father’s Day.
She said, “I want to tell my dad that I love him, since I forgot to call him till really late.”
Cyrus ended the night by singing her track Can’t Be Tamed, capping an evening of performances by Drake, Adam Lambert and Katy Perry, who sang on top of a pink cake in bejewelled hot pants.Source URL: http://jeffsurrinames.blogspot.com/2010/08/justin-bieber-and-tattoo.html
